Pullastra [Tapes pullastra]
Description
This is a species of saltwater clam, a marine bivalve mollusk in the family Veneridae. It has a white, yellowish, or cream-colored shell with an oval shape. It's found in the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic coast of Western Europe, living buried in sandy or muddy bottoms where it filters water to feed on plankton.
