White Pitar [Pitar Albus]

Description
The White Pitar is a species of marine bivalve mollusk found in the Gulf of Mexico and Western Atlantic. It has a white, smooth shell that can reach up to 50mm in length. This species typically burrows in sandy and muddy substrates and feeds on plankton and detritus.
