Description
Gould's venus, a subspecies of Chamelea gallina, is a bivalve mollusc found primarily in the Pacific Ocean. Similar to the Striped venus, it has strong radial ribs and an oval shell, but it is generally smaller in size. The shell color varies from white to yellowish-brown, often with a purplish hue. This species prefers soft substrate environments, particularly sandy or muddy bottoms.
