Saddleback Scallop [Crassadoma crassamentum]

Description
The Saddleback Scallop, or Saddleback Rock Scallop, is a species of scallop native to the west coast of North America, from Alaska to Baja California. They are typically found in rocky subtidal habitats and are characterized by their thick, heavy shells with 14-18 deep ribs. The shell color is usually pink or purple with white blotches, giving the appearance of a saddle.
