Atlantic Calico Scallop [Aequipecten gibbus]

Description
The Atlantic Calico Scallop, with a Latin name of Aequipecten gibbus, is a species of bivalve mollusk found in the western Atlantic Ocean. It has a brightly colored and highly variable shell with 17-23 ribs, often with a calico pattern of pink, yellow, and/or brown. The shell size reaches up to 60mm. They are found in sandy or muddy habitats, often at depths of 10-40 meters.
