Black-lip Pearl Oyster [Pteria penguin]

Description
The Black-lip Pearl Oyster, also known as the Penguin Winged Oyster, is found in the Indo-Pacific region, particularly around Australia and the Philippines. Its shell is large and inequivalve, with the left valve being larger and more convex. The outer shell is dark and rough, while the inner shell has a beautiful nacreous layer, from which pearls are formed.
