Description
The Fissidentalium giganteum, or Giant Tusk Shell, is the largest known species within the Fissidentalium genus. Its shell is significantly larger and more robust than other species. The shell is smooth, glossy, and white. They inhabit deep sea environments where they filter-feed on microorganisms in the sediment.
