Smaragdia viridis, commonly known as Emerald nerite, is a small marine gastropod mollusk in the family Neritidae. This species is characterized by its vibrant green color, which is more pronounced in males. It inhabits the seagrass beds of the Mediterranean Sea and the Eastern Atlantic. It feeds on the epiphytes and periphyton of seagrasses.
