Description
The Yellow Umbrella Slug, or Umbraculum umbraculum, is a sea snail species that belongs to the family Umbraculidae. This species can be found in the warm waters of the Indo-Pacific region, from East Africa to Australia and New Zealand. It is a large and noticeable sea slug, with adults growing up to 30 cm in length. It has a bright yellow body with a distinct, round, flat shell on its back, giving the appearance of an umbrella. This species is most commonly found in rocky, subtidal areas and feeds on sponges.
