Description
The Muricea elongata, commonly known as the Bottlebrush Sea Fan, is a species of soft coral that predominantly inhabits the Eastern Pacific Ocean. It is found in depths ranging from 5-40 meters. The colonies are bushy or fan-like in appearance and the polyps are largely extended, giving the colony a furry appearance. Its color varies from yellow, orange to purple.
