Description

Ardenna is a genus that includes the Wedge-tailed Shearwater among other shearwater species. These birds are medium-sized with long wings and a distinctive wedge-shaped tail. Their plumage is generally dark on the upper side and lighter underneath. Wedge-tailed Shearwaters are highly adapted to life at sea, capable of long flights over the ocean.
