Description
Chaetodon tinkeri, often referred to as Tinker's Butterflyfish, is a deep-bodied fish known for its vibrant blue body, yellow dorsal and anal fins, and a prominent black spot on the upper part of the body near the tail. Although it is listed under the genus Chaetodon, its unique characteristics and coloration set it apart. This species is found in the central Pacific, particularly around Hawaii and Johnston Atoll, where it inhabits coral-rich areas of deep reefs.
