Short Sea Snakes [Microcephalophis]

Description

Microcephalophis, or Short sea snakes, represent a genus of slender, small-headed sea snakes. Despite their diminutive size, they are adept at navigating the complex environments of coral reefs and seagrass beds where they hunt small fish and eels. These snakes are primarily found in the tropical waters of the Indian and Pacific Oceans. Their small head and narrow body allow them to probe into crevices and holes in the reef to find prey.
