Sabellastarte [Sabellastarte]
Description
Sabellastarte are fan worms that live in tubes and extend a crown of feathery tentacles into the water column. When divers hover nearby, they can watch the tentacles open and close as the worm filters food, creating a subtle, rhythmic motion on the seafloor.
