Neobrachiella [Neobrachiella]

Description

Neobrachiella is a genus within the family Lernaeopodidae, consisting of copepod parasites that primarily infest the skin and gills of marine fishes. These parasites are small but can be identified by their cylindrical body and the presence of two siphons that are used for attachment to the host. Infestations can lead to tissue damage and secondary infections in the host fish.
