Nematopagurus [Nematopagurus]
Description
Nematopagurus is characterized by slender and elongated hermit crabs, which often inhabit narrow and elongated shells. These crabs are adapted to life in crevices and other tight spaces within the reef environment. Their long, slender bodies and the ability to maneuver in confined spaces allow them to exploit food resources inaccessible to other benthic organisms.
