Kroeyerina [Kroeyerina]

Description

Kroeyerina is another genus within the family Kroyeriidae, consisting of parasitic copepods. These organisms are similar to those of the genus Kroyeria, in that they also target elasmobranchs as their hosts. Kroeyerina species, however, can be distinguished by variations in their morphological features, such as the structure of their appendages and the details of their segmentation, which are adaptations to their parasitic lifestyle on different host species.
