Description

Fulvia is a genus of small to medium-sized marine bivalves known as fragile cockles, which are part of the family Cardiidae. These cockles have delicate, thin shells that are often beautifully colored or patterned. They are commonly found in sandy or muddy substrates in intertidal to subtidal zones. The fragile cockles are filter feeders, consuming plankton and organic particles suspended in the water.
