Description

Botrucnidifer is a genus within the Cerianthidae family, characterized by its unique tube anemones that construct and reside within a parchment-like tube buried in marine sediments. These anemones have two sets of tentacles: a longer set surrounding the mouth for feeding and a shorter set around the upper part of the tube for protection. They are primarily nocturnal, extending their tentacles at night to feed on suspended particles and small organisms.
