Bopyrinella [Bopyrinella]

Description

Bopyrinella includes parasitic isopods that are often found infesting the gills of shrimp and other small decapods. Characterized by their small size and strong grip, they are adept at remaining attached to their hosts even in strong currents. Bopyrinella species are known for causing reduced reproductive success and sometimes mortality in heavily infested hosts.
