Description

Bopyrella is a genus within the family Bopyridae, consisting of parasitic isopods that mainly infest decapods, particularly hermit crabs. These parasites are known for their asymmetrical body shapes, which allow them to better fit the internal contours of their host's shell. Infestation by Bopyrella can cause significant harm to the host, including decreased fertility and physical abnormalities.
