Description

Aspidophoroides is a genus of fish in the family Agonidae, known as poachers. These marine fish are characterized by their armored bodies with bony plates and a distinct, elongated snout. They inhabit cold waters of the Arctic and North Atlantic, usually found on muddy or sandy substrates. Their diet mainly consists of small invertebrates.
