Ancula [Ancula]
Description
Ancula is a genus of small, delicate nudibranchs that are distinguished by their elongated bodies and the presence of lateral processes or cerata which may bear resemblance to the cerata of aeolid nudibranchs. These creatures are usually translucent, allowing their internal organs to be visible, and are often found in shallow, temperate to tropical waters where they feed on hydroids.
