Description
Colossendeidae are a family of sea spiders that include some of the largest species within the order Pantopoda. These giants of the sea spider world exhibit significant variation in size and morphology, adapted to life in a range of marine environments, from shallow coastal zones to the abyssal depths. They are recognized by their robust bodies, large chelifores, and the ability to feed on a variety of marine invertebrates, including cnidarians and bryozoans.
