The Strytan Hydrothermal Vents are located off the coast near Akureyri, in the Eyjafjörður fjord. This unique dive site features underwater hot springs that spew mineral-rich water at temperatures of about 72°C. Divers can see an abundance of marine life that thrives in the warm waters around the vents, including wolf fish, nudibranchs, and various crustaceans. The vents have created towering limestone formations underwater, some of which are over 55 meters tall.
