Rose Atoll is the easternmost point of American Samoa and the southernmost point of the United States. It is an uninhabited coral atoll protected as a National Wildlife Refuge and a Marine National Monument. The atoll is a sanctuary for countless bird species and marine life, including green and hawksbill turtles. The diving here is for the more adventurous, offering pristine coral gardens, steep drop-offs, and the chance to see a variety of sharks and pelagic fish in crystal clear waters. Due to its protected status, diving may require special permits and is subject to strict environmental guidelines.
