Kaindy Lake

Kaindy Lake is a unique dive site located in the Tian Shan Mountains of Kazakhstan. Known for its submerged forest, divers can explore the remains of spruce trees that stick out of the lake's surface, creating a surreal underwater landscape. The lake was formed as a result of an earthquake in 1911, which triggered a landslide blocking the gorge and creating a natural dam. The cold water helps preserve the trees, making it an extraordinary site for freshwater diving.
