Located on the southwestern tip of the Reykjanes Peninsula, the Gardur area is renowned for its diverse dive sites, including marine caves, kelp forests, and lava tunnels. The underwater topography is a mix of sandy bottoms and rocky formations, providing habitats for a variety of marine life such as sea urchins, starfish, and different fish species. The Gardur Peninsula is also an excellent location for spotting larger marine mammals, including dolphins and occasionally whales, from the surface.
