Liptovská Mara

Liptovská Mara, located in the Liptov region, is the largest reservoir in Slovakia, offering divers the opportunity to explore submerged villages, church ruins, and diverse freshwater species. The dam was constructed in the 1970s, flooding several villages, which has since created an underwater museum of sorts. The visibility varies with the seasons and can offer unique freshwater diving experiences.
