Saltstraumen

Saltstraumen is a small strait with one of the strongest tidal currents in the world, located near Bodø in northern Norway. Divers are attracted to this zone for the unique experience of drift diving in the powerful current, which brings in nutrient-rich waters, supporting a diverse marine life. Visibility can be excellent, and the area is known for its large whirlpools and abundant sea life, including large cod, wolf fish, and coalfish.
