Stavronikita Wreck
About this Dive Site
Description
The Stavronikita Wreck, often called 'Stavro', is a 111m freighter that was intentionally sunk in 1978 to create an artificial reef. The ship now lies upright in 30m of water, creating a habitat for a diverse range of marine life such as barracuda, turtles, and reef fish. The wreck is encrusted with corals and sponges, making it a vibrant and colorful site for divers.
