About this Dive Site
Description
Crater Bay is a dive site located on the western side of White Island. It features a gently sloping sandy bottom, with patches of rocky reef. Divers can expect to see stingrays, octopus, and an array of colorful nudibranchs. The site gets its name from the nearby volcanic crater, which occasionally releases bubbles of gas that can be seen rising from the seafloor.
