Homestead Crater

About this Dive Site

Description

The Homestead Crater is a geothermal spring, hidden within a 55-foot tall, beehive-shaped limestone rock located on the Homestead property in Midway, Utah. The water in the crater is over 10,000 years in the making and stays a consistent 90-96°F year round. The hole at the top of the crater lets in sunlight and fresh air while the interior stays heated by the mineral water at the bottom of the crater. The crater is filled with 65 feet deep warm mineral water offering clear visibility and tropical-like diving conditions.
